On Sunday, December 1st, the Church will celebrate the First Sunday of Advent. The word Advent means “coming.” The season of Advent helps us to prepare for the coming of the Son of God, the Light of the World. Advent lasts for four weeks. During these weeks, we prepare to celebrate Christ’s coming. Download an activity to share with your students as you teach about the season of Advent to remind them that Jesus is our light.
