To help children learn that Lent is the season of preparation for Easter, download a printable activity that becomes an interactive game for students.
Before beginning the activity, discuss the season of Lent. Have students brainstorm a list of some Lenten activities that their family and/or parish practice during the season of Lent. Then, distribute the Lenten Cube handout. Invite students to write one idea for Lent on each face of the cube before cutting and assembling the cube. Provide students with scissors and paste or tape to fasten the sides of the cube.
During the season of Lent, encourage the students to use their cubes daily or weekly to "live out Lent."
