Sadlier is committed to Catholic education—not only in our publishing efforts, but in many other aspects. Each year, we recognize people for their service to Catholic education and support organizations in various ways. Here are some highlights.
F. Sadlier Dinger, grandson of William H. Sadlier, the former Sadlier Chairman of the Board, and father of the current Chairman of the Board, deeply loved the Church and demonstrated this with his unwavering personal and professional support of Catholic schools. Since 1980, this award named for him has recognized two people each year whose outstanding leadership and achievements have advanced Catholic education or catechetical ministry.
The William Sadlier Dinger Award honors and recognizes a person for outstanding work in nurturing the Word of God within the Latino community. The name of the award recognizes William Dinger's early and constant commitment to catechesis in the Latino community.
Named after Sr. Maria de la Cruz Aymes, SH, through the generosity of William H. Sadlier, Inc., this scholarship is given to a DCL serving catechesis with Hispanics.
Initiated in 1994, named for a renowned math educator, and the “guiding light” behind Sadlier’s Progress in Mathematics series, this award recognizes an outstanding educator who possesses a true love of mathematics and challenges students to excel in math.
First awarded in 1998, this award honors a school or parish that demonstrates effectively and clearly our identity as a Catholic people. Recipients are identified by the host diocese of the NCEA convention.
