Top 3 Mistakes (New) Teachers Make

A few weeks ago, I shared my favorite pieces of advice for new teachers, but my advice was applicable to all teachers, not just those starting out. In the same vein, my top three mistakes are not just limited to teachers with less experience, but many problems do seem to be ones born out of the desire to “do it my way.”

Yet it is the very nature of the shared classroom environment that helps teachers to overcome their fallacies, so in that frame of mind, I encourage everyone to work together! Use this advice to give yourself a little counsel and pass it on to the new teachers in your school.

Teachers, our job is a ridiculously tough one, and there are many “do’s” and “don’t” lists out there. Hopefully my Top 3 Mistakes Teachers Make advice makes sense, and I welcome your thoughts and comments in regards to your advice and mistakes you have made-and how hopefully you have overcome them!
