Deborah Hopkinson writes great children’s books! I was amazed by the vast number (over 40) of picture books and chapter books she has written.
All her books are well-researched nonfiction or historical fiction stories about a wide variety of subjects from the famous scientist & explorer Charles Darwin to the less-famous, but equally interesting female baseball player & doctor, Alta Weiss. I look forward to reading more of Deborah Hopkinson’s fascinating books with my own children and hope you enjoy her equally fascinating interview about the importance of words.
