A professor of Mathematics Education at the University of Mississippi, Dr. Bellman works with pre-service and in-service teachers. His specialties are classroom-level, assessment-driven instruction and technology in the teaching and learning of mathematics. Dr. Bellman has been involved in curriculum development and technology product development for over three decades. He earned his BS in Mathematics from Duke University, his MEd from the University of Maryland, and his PhD from the University of California, Davis. Before his university work, he was a mathematics and computer science teacher in Maryland.
The founder of the Honors Math Program at Saint Charles Borromeo School, Catherine Danielle works with students in Grades 4–8 and has taught for many years in elementary and middle schools in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and the Diocese of Allentown. She also was a teacher education instructor at Rosemont College. Since 1986, Catherine has worked with William H. Sadlier, Inc. in developing the Progress in Mathematics series for Grades K–8. She earned her BA from Immaculata University and her MA in Biology from West Chester University.
Associate Professor at Rowan University, Dr. Perry has been instrumental in creating and coordinating the STEM Education MA Program with seed funding from the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation. Her research includes students’ mathematical sense-making, communications, and representations; integrated STEM curriculum, instruction, and assessment; and models for teaching high-leverage practices to novice teachers. She earned her BS in Mathematics and MEd in Mathematics Education from the University of Florida and her PhD in Curriculum and Instruction (Mathematics Cognate) from the University of Central Florida
