Holiday-Inspired Vocabulary Activity: Design the Perfect Gift

During the holiday season, we are often consumed with finding the perfect gifts to give our loved ones. Trying to find a gift that convey your feelings, while staying within a budget, can be quite the challenge! Why not take the stress off yourselves and your students by having them design the perfect gifts-no need for any budget restrictions. From cute to creative–see what your students can do, while using vocabulary of course.

Vocabulary-Activities

The Design the Perfect Gift Vocabulary Activity is a simple writing exercise that will help students review vocabulary words and get into the holiday spirit! To start, download my printable gift tag template. You will want to print off enough so each student will have 3–5 gift tags.

Once the gift tags have been handed out, instruct students that they will be designing the perfect gift for friends, family members, or even the world (Peace on Earth, anyone?). There are no budget restrictions and all gifts should be positive! On the gift tags, students will need to write a detailed description of the gift using 2–5 vocabulary words.

Once students have filled out their 3–5 gift tags, hang them on the classroom door to add a touch of holiday whimsy to your room!
