I love the idea of combining writing with speaking as much as possible. Speaking what you have written is a great revision strategy. In addition, hearing the words allows the listener to pick out what sounds correct. **HOW IT WORKS**

This simple revision strategy can be done individually, in pairs, or in groups!

- Hand out a sentence stem sheet and a stack of cards to each person, pair, or group.
- Students will match the correct word from the card stack to the sentence stem.
- After each sentence is matched with an adverb or adjective, students will read the sentence. This can be done in groups or whole class.
- Teachers will assess for the correct adverb.
